I was on top of the 2nd page of Google’s Organic search for key words terms like “Alex Jeffrey’s” and “Alex Jeffrey’s coaching”. Incedently when I setup the blog roll with about 100 odd Alex Jeffrey’s coaching student my search results went to 39th page (Of course I was going through each and every search page till I find my site).
At the same time there was a debate going on in another students Blog and there were some useful comments were posted. I followed Dave Everett Online to setup the nofollow.
I thought to my self wow what I have done to deserve this!
Read below how I managed to repair the damage I caused in simple 2 steps as well as you can find how your site is performing!
Now I am back on second page of Google’s Organic search. what a relief!
Here is what I did
1) Download the nofollow Plug-in, Just install the plug-in same as the other plug-in.

Quick instructions how to set this plug-in
i) Upload `nofollow-links` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
ii) Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
iii) Navigate to Manage > Nofollow Links and select links you want nofollowed

Install the above Plug-in should you wish not to be penalized by Google’s Search.

2) I have used the Google Webmaster Tools (Free)

This free tool provides you with details report about your sites/pages visibility on Google. All you need is a Google account and it is free to use.
Effectively this tool tell you how Google ‘sees’ your site. It’s a must have tool, which brought my life back.
Tips
Check to see if your website is indexed in Google.
Type you Blog URL into Google search box
eg: www.jeykumara.com or jeykumara.com
replacing www.jeykumara.com with your own website:
Interpretation of Results: If Google does not give any single result for your site pages then:
Check the following in your Google webmaster tools: Dashboard — Overview. If the Googlebot has problems accessing your home page, it will return a message like the following: “Googlebot cannot access your home page because it is blocked by robots.txt.” In this case, you need to remove the robots.txt in your web server root directory and submit a re-consideration request to Google. You can read more about submitting reconsideration requests

Also, you should go to your main/home page and view the source. You should NOT see this code:
<META NAME=”ROBOTS” CONTENT=”NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW”>
This code tells Google not to index your home page, and, at the same time, not to follow the links in your navigation menu. If you see this, then remove it and submit a reconsideration request.

Congratulations on getting to the second page with those all important keywords and especially for sticking to the task when your page dropped down. That’s very inspiring to know that we can take action and not just take what happens.
I have managed to get to page 1 of Google for the keywords “Alex Jeffreys coaching” (with my website as opposed to my blog) which is only different from your keywords by the apostrophe. It just shows you it also worth focussing on all the variations of keywords that someone might type into their search engine and I would include misspellings such as Alec Jeffreys and Alex Jefferys and Alex Jeffries etc.

I got slammed by Google too. Ironically, I was the one who was telling everyone to use the Nofollow Links plugin. The problem was that I had another plugin which was interfering with NoFollow.
I was on the second page also for Alex Jeffreys coaching and then I was gone. My blog went from a PR2 to a PR0 overnight. I was also able to fix the problem and am back on page 2 a couple spots below you
Better watch out, I just joined Traffic Kahuna and I am about to blow everyone away in the SERPS. I want to know how Steve got his squeeze page listed number one. I checked it out and he has some high page rank back links. That won’t be enough once I get started.
